Job Description:
Responsibilities:
  • Review and evaluate supply and demand forecasts.
  • Manage and maintain inventory levels, ensuring future demands are met.
  • Develop and implement contingency plans to mitigate risks in the supply chain process.
  • Requisition and maintain inventories of materials or supplies necessary to meet production demands.
  • Confer with supervisors or other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes.
  • Support the revision of production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with management, marketing, sales, production, or engineering.
  • Confer with vendors and internal customers to coordinate production or shipping activities and to resolve complaints or eliminate delays.
  • Examine documents, materials, or products and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications.
  • Contact suppliers to verify shipment details.
  • Provide documentation and information to account for delays, difficulties, or changes to cost estimates.
  • Implement innovative strategies to improve supply chain processes.
  • Monitor and analyze current market conditions and forecasts.
  • Other duties as deemed required.
Education & Experience Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • BS/BA in logistics, business analytics, or relevant field; professional certification (e.
g.
APICS/CPIM
) is preferred.
  • 5+ years' experience as a Materials Planner, Inventory Planner or similar role, preferred.
  • Experience in data mining, analysis and reporting.
  • Familiarity with supply chain processes and inventory management systems.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, relational databases, and ERP systems (JDE).
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Spanish speaking preferred.
  • Analytical mind with business acumen.
Work Environment:
Office setting. Monday - Friday 8am-5pm
