Responsibilities:
- Review and evaluate supply and demand forecasts.
- Manage and maintain inventory levels, ensuring future demands are met.
- Develop and implement contingency plans to mitigate risks in the supply chain process.
- Requisition and maintain inventories of materials or supplies necessary to meet production demands.
- Confer with supervisors or other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes.
- Support the revision of production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with management, marketing, sales, production, or engineering.
- Confer with vendors and internal customers to coordinate production or shipping activities and to resolve complaints or eliminate delays.
- Examine documents, materials, or products and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications.
- Contact suppliers to verify shipment details.
- Provide documentation and information to account for delays, difficulties, or changes to cost estimates.
- Implement innovative strategies to improve supply chain processes.
- Monitor and analyze current market conditions and forecasts.
- Other duties as deemed required.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- BS/BA in logistics, business analytics, or relevant field; professional certification (e.
APICS/CPIM
) is preferred.- 5+ years' experience as a Materials Planner, Inventory Planner or similar role, preferred.
- Experience in data mining, analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with supply chain processes and inventory management systems.
- Working knowledge of MS Office, relational databases, and ERP systems (JDE).
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Spanish speaking preferred.
- Analytical mind with business acumen.
