The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of inventory management, sterile processing, and medical terminology, ensuring that supplies are accurately tracked and readily available to support clinical operations. This role is vital in maintaining efficient supply chain workflows, supporting patient care, and upholding safety standards across departments. Duties Receive, verify, and document incoming medical supplies and equipment in accordance with hospital protocols. Maintain accurate inventory records using established tracking systems to monitor stock levels and reorder supplies proactively. Organize storage areas to ensure easy access, proper labeling, and compliance with sterilization and safety standards. Assist clinical staff by providing necessary supplies promptly while adhering to aseptic techniques during handling. Collaborate with procurement teams to facilitate timely ordering of supplies based on usage patterns and departmental needs. Ensure all sterile processing procedures are followed to prevent contamination and maintain a sterile environment. Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies, expired items, or shortages, reporting issues promptly for resolution. Support the implementation of safety protocols related to handling sensitive or hazardous materials in accordance with health regulations. Skills Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and practices within a healthcare setting. Familiarity with sterile processing techniques and aseptic procedures essential for maintaining a sterile environment. Proficiency in medical terminology to accurately interpret supply requests and documentation. Understanding of human anatomy and physiology to recognize the importance of proper supply handling for patient safety. Ability to operate inventory tracking software and other relevant hospital information systems efficiently.
