Position:
Full Time Fleet Coordinator Position Summary The Fleet Coordinator supports the Fleet Manager in maintaining company vehicles, trailers, and equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations. This position coordinates preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, registrations, and fleet documentation while serving as a liaison between drivers, mechanics, and vendors. Essential Duties Schedule and track preventive maintenance for fleet vehicles and equipment. Coordinate repairs with internal staff and external vendors. Monitor vehicle inspection schedules and compliance requirements. Maintain fleet records including registrations, titles, insurance documents, and maintenance histories. Perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshooting. Coordinate roadside assistance and emergency repairs. Assist with vehicle assignments and fleet inventory management. Support DOT compliance and driver documentation programs. Assist with onboarding new vehicles and equipment following acquisitions. Communicate repair status and availability to operations personnel.
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or GED. 2+ years of fleet, construction equipment, automotive, diesel, utility, or transportation experience. Basic mechanical knowledge of trucks, trailers, and equipment. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office applications. Strong organizational and communication skills. Valid driver's license. After hours emergency calls response
Preferred:
Construction, telecom, utility, or infrastructure industry experience. Familiarity with DOT regulations. Experience using fleet management software. ASE certification or related mechanical training. CDL Physical Requirements Ability to inspect vehicles and equipment in field environments. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to travel between company facilities and job sites as needed.
Pay:
From $31.25 per hour
