Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Logistics Specialist to join our supply chain operations. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the movement, storage, and procurement of goods across various channels. Your expertise will ensure seamless coordination between suppliers, warehouses, transportation providers, and internal teams to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall supply chain performance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where strategic planning and process improvement are key drivers of success. Responsibilities Oversee warehouse distribution activities, including inventory control, stock management, and materials handling to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment. Coordinate transportation management systems (TMS) to plan, execute, and monitor freight movements across multiple carriers and modes. Manage procurement processes by sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and overseeing purchasing activities to secure competitive pricing and reliable delivery schedules. Utilize data analysis skills and tools such as Tableau and SQL to collect, analyze, and report on supply chain metrics for continuous improvement initiatives. Conduct root cause analysis on logistics issues to identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks and implement process improvements accordingly. Collaborate with vendors, 3PL providers (Third-Party Logistics), and internal teams on category management, demand planning, and inventory replenishment strategies. Support shipping & receiving operations, including dispatching, freight forwarding (NVOCC - Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), and compliance with shipping regulations. Requirements Proven experience in supply chain management with a strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) such as SAP or Oracle ERP platforms like AS400 or similar. Hands-on knowledge of transportation planning, freight management, inventory control, and materials handling techniques. Proficiency in data collection tools and analysis software such as Tableau, SQL, or other analytics platforms. Ability to operate warehouse equipment including forklifts (certification preferred) for materials handling tasks. Strong negotiation skills paired with experience in vendor management and contract negotiations. Familiarity with procurement processes including sourcing strategies, pricing negotiations, and category management. Mechanical knowledge or experience with transportation management systems (TMS) is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and implement effective process improvements. Knowledge of e-commerce logistics operations, demand planning methodologies, and supply chain analytics is highly desirable.
