Job Description

An established company in the sporting apparel industry is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join its supply chain team on a 3-month contract basis, with the strong possibility of converting into a permanent full-time role. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their logistics or supply chain career who is looking to build hands-on experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within transportation, warehousing, and supply chain operations. This role is on-site in Carlsbad, and remote work is not available. Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments between suppliers, freight partners, and warehouse providers
  • Rate shop and help ensure goods are shipped in the most timely and cost-effective manner
  • Investigate and resolve customs clearance and import documentation issues
  • Act as a key point of contact for freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders
  • Communicate shipment delays, delivery updates, and inventory-related issues
  • Support shipping needs for non-inventory items, including marketing materials and special event requirements
  • Assist with data analysis, process documentation, and compliance-related projects
  • Monitor transfer orders and ensure timely closure of orders across 3PL warehouse locations
  • Investigate receiving discrepancies and help maintain accurate inventory records
  • Partner cross-functionally with sales, marketing, operations, and warehouse teams Qualifications
  • Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and basic formulas
  • Comfortable learning and using transportation and warehouse management systems
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and root causes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and solutions-oriented
  • Collaborative mindset with a willingness to support team coverage as needed Preferred Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation, inventory, or 3PL operations
  • Experience with tariff classifications, HTS codes, or import/export processes is a plus
