Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Long Beach, California. In this long-term contract role, you will play a pivotal part in managing product testing activities to ensure adherence to quality standards, customer expectations, and regulatory compliance. This position requires effective communication and coordination with various stakeholders, including suppliers, factories, and internal teams.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate product testing requests in collaboration with internal teams, suppliers, and approved third-party laboratories.
- Prepare and submit testing documentation, including samples, specifications, and related materials.
- Monitor testing schedules, track progress, and ensure timely completion in alignment with production timelines.
- Address delays or incomplete tests by escalating issues and proposing corrective actions.
- Support quality initiatives by following up on failed tests and ensuring corrective measures are implemented effectively.
- Maintain clear communication of testing requirements with vendors and factories to ensure compliance.
- Generate regular updates on testing progress, identifying risks and potential delays.
- Collaborate with departments such as Sales, Product Development, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to prioritize testing activities.
- Organize and maintain accurate records of testing documentation, ensuring audit readiness.
- Contribute to process improvements related to testing coordination and documentation management. Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in product testing, quality coordination, compliance, or a related field.
- Proven experience working with third-party testing laboratories.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and document management systems.
- Familiarity with product safety and compliance standards is preferred.
- Experience in consumer products, textiles, home goods, or manufacturing is highly desirable.
- Ability to collaborate with overseas suppliers or factories is a plus.
