Job Description

Do you have experience as a production Planner? If you answered yes! Manpower would like to speak to you about our production planner opportunity in Carson, CA. What's in it for you? Monday-Friday weekends when needed 1st Shift hours 7:30am-4:00pm $35.00 - 40.00 P/H (weekly pay) based on experience Contract can become temp to perm What you will be doing? Develops and maintains master production schedules, leveraging the ERP/MRP system for accurate capacity planning, production pitch, and cell planning to ensure on-time delivery and operational efficiency. Monitors and revises schedules in response to changes in order priorities, material availability, and vendor issues, while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders. Serves as the primary point of communication for production progress, delays, and forecast adjustments, providing clear and timely updates to internal and external stakeholders. Utilizes capacity analysis tools to anticipate and address potential bottlenecks, ensuring personnel and equipment are appropriately allocated. Plans and coordinates production for a mix of standard, custom, samples, and one-off products, including managing components, hardware, felt, metal assemblies, LED lighting systems, and custom packaging/crating solutions. Trains and mentors team members on production planning processes and tools, fostering a collaborative and adaptable culture.
Who we are looking for:
5 or more years of experience as a production planner. Initiative-taking and able to work with minimal supervision but also a good collaborator with members of other departments. Demonstrated expertise in ERP/MRP systems (Syteline and/or SAP preferred) with strong capabilities in system optimization and maintenance. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting. APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) strongly preferred. Detail oriented and organized with an ability to work independently. Able to undergo a background check and drug test.
