This pivotal role involves orchestrating production activities, optimizing resource utilization, and ensuring seamless delivery of high-quality military simulation products for the U.S. and friendly foreign militaries and prime contractors and system integrators. As a key driver of operational excellence, the Senior Production Planner will leverage advanced planning tools and methodologies including AI to support continuous improvement initiatives and uphold manufacturing standards. Duties Develop and maintain comprehensive production schedules using ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems such as SAP, aligning with demand forecasts and capacity constraints. Coordinate with manufacturing, supply chain, quality control, and plant management teams to ensure timely procurement of materials and smooth workflow across assembly lines. Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) tools to analyze inventory levels, forecast needs, and optimize stock levels for cost-effective production. Implement lean manufacturing principles and process improvements to eliminate waste, reduce cycle times, and enhance overall productivity. Monitor production KPIs and supply chain analytics to identify bottlenecks, forecast risks, and develop proactive solutions. Collaborate on continuous improvement projects aimed at refining processes, increasing efficiency, and maintaining high quality standards. Manage supply chain logistics by coordinating with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery of raw materials and finished goods. Experience Proven experience in production management within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or similar platforms; experience with MRP modules is essential. Demonstrated expertise in supply chain management, operations management, and plant management practices. Familiarity with lean manufacturing methodologies, process improvement techniques, and quality control standards. Mechanical knowledge or background in manufacturing processes is highly desirable. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data from supply chain analytics for strategic decision-making. Effective communication skills coupled with the ability to lead cross-functional teams toward common goals.
