Job Description
Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Office Clerk to join our dynamic supply chain team. In this vital role, you will be the backbone of our logistics operations, ensuring smooth coordination across warehouse distribution, transportation management, procurement, and inventory control. Your expertise will help optimize processes, improve efficiency, and support our commitment to delivering exceptional service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in supply chain management while contributing to a fast-paced, innovative environment. Duties Manage daily shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate documentation and timely processing of goods using warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management systems (TMS). Processing shipping and receiving documents (invoices, bills of lading) Tracking shipments and updating delivery status Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and freight carriers to facilitate order fulfillment, dispatching, and transportation planning. Support inventory management efforts through data collection, analysis skills, and root cause analysis to identify discrepancies and implement process improvements. Assist in procurement activities by sourcing materials, negotiating pricing with suppliers, and managing contracts to optimize costs and vendor relationships. Oversee shipping & receiving operations including freight forwarding, 3PL providers, and warehouse distribution activities. Collaborate on category management initiatives to streamline inventory control and enhance warehouse efficiency. Engage in process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing logistics workflows, reducing costs, and increasing overall supply chain effectiveness. Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse experience or logistics roles with familiarity in warehouse management systems Strong data analysis skills Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), freight forwarding, shipping & receiving procedures, and inventory control practices. Excellent negotiation skills with experience in procurement, sourcing, vendor management, and contracts negotiation. Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement process improvements within complex supply chain environments. Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments including demand planning, production scheduling, and supplier relations. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
