EDI is a system that enables the electronic exchange of documents such as purchase orders, invoices, and shipping labels between companies and their trading partners. Typical tasks include processing purchase orders, printing shipping labels, and managing ticket/UPC label compliance. Examples of EDI processor portals include Retail Link and Lingo. Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage outbound domestic shipping of pallet loads nationwide.
- Prepare and process Bills of Lading (BOL) accurately for all shipments.
- Ensure compliance with customer shipping requirements and documentation standards.
- Utilize Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems to process orders, print shipping labels, and manage ticket/UPC label requirements.
- Maintain accurate order entry records and shipping documentation.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse teams, carriers, and customers to resolve shipping or documentation issues.
- Track shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve discrepancies when they arise.
- Assist in managing freight documentation and compliance with carrier requirements.
- Maintain a high level of organization in filing, processing, and tracking shipment records.
- Support logistics reporting and provide updates to management as required.

Manage warehouse operations including inventory management, stock control, and materials handling to maximize efficiency. Utilize supply chain management systems such as ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and transportation management systems to track shipments and analyze data. Negotiate with vendors and 3PL providers to secure optimal pricing, contracts, and service levels. Conduct root cause analysis for supply chain disruptions and implement process improvements to prevent recurrence. Oversee shipping & receiving activities, including dispatching and NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) arrangements. Collaborate with procurement teams on sourcing strategies, demand planning, and category management to optimize inventory levels. Requirements

Compensation:
$23.00 per hour.
- Proven experience in logistics coordination, shipping, or related field.
- Experience with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) required

- Familiarity with preparing Bills of Lading (BOL).
- Strong computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

- Strong communication skills to coordinate between internal teams and external partners.
- Knowledge of carrier portals, routing guides, and shipping documentation standards preferred.
- Prior experience with wholesale, importing, or distribution industry logistics is a plus.
- Order entry experience required.
Proven experience in logistics coordination or supply chain management with a strong understanding of warehouse distribution and transportation planning. Proficiency in data analysis skills using tools like Tableau, SQL, and supply chain analytics platforms. Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems (such as SAP or AS400), and transportation management systems. Ability to perform process improvement initiatives through root cause analysis and continuous optimization strategies. Mechanical knowledge and forklift certification are a plus for handling materials and warehouse equipment safely. Excellent negotiation skills paired with vendor management experience to foster strong supplier relationships.
