Job Description

Develop and implement routing with computerized routing software. Develop optimization strategies using various GPS programs designed to ensure our customer is serviced in an effective and highly efficient manner. The candidate will utilize various types of files, updates and transfers of geographical data prepare maps, programs, and related graphical media.
Duties :
Collaborates with Dispatcher and fellow office team members to optimize routes for our customers and school districts. Performs numerous computer functions including (but not limited to): routing, pulling video from cameras, maintaining student database (excel), reporting, etc. Maintains bus schedules. Compiles reports to operation, school and state agencies. Communicates with schools, parents, drivers and other terminal staff. Assists with terminal activities including (but not limited to): driver concerns, answering phones, dispatching and driving (if needed). Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. Must be an effective communicator - requires interaction with operations, customers, and drivers. Drive routes as necessary. Provide routing process improvement recommendations to your Supervisor. Recommend specific changes to help increase productivity and efficiency. Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required.
  • MINIMUM 1-year office experience.
  • CDL with S & P endorsements (or acquire within first 90 days).
  • Excellent communication, time management, and decision making skills. Strong PC skills written and verbal communication skills, and exceptional customer service skills are essential to external and internal customers. Ability to deal with problems and find solutions. Must be detail oriented and have the ability to document, research and solve discrepancies and processes.
  • Knowledge of school districts and the area a plus!
