Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Production Planner to join our manufacturing operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing production schedules to ensure optimal efficiency, meet customer demands, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in production management, supply chain analytics, and ERP systems, with a focus on lean manufacturing principles. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to process optimization, quality control, and overall plant management in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Duties Develop detailed production schedules aligned with demand forecasts and inventory levels using ERP systems such as SAP or similar platforms. Coordinate with procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials and components. Monitor production progress daily, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule adherence. Utilize supply chain analytics to forecast capacity needs and optimize resource allocation across the plant. Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure products meet specified standards and specifications. Maintain accurate records of production activities, inventory levels, and supply chain metrics for reporting purposes. Assist in plant management activities by providing insights into operations performance and suggesting strategic adjustments. Qualifications Proven experience in production planning or operations management within a manufacturing setting. Strong knowledge of ERP systems, particularly SAP or equivalent enterprise resource planning software. Familiarity with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems and supply chain management practices. Mechanical knowledge or understanding of manufacturing processes, assembly lines, and process improvement techniques. Experience implementing lean manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement strategies. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data related to supply chain analytics and operations metrics. Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments including procurement, quality assurance, and plant management.
Pay:
