Materials Planner (1st Shift)

Mon-Fri, 6:00 AM-2:30

Office + shop floor (receiving, inspection, production support)

Growth:

Overtime available + cross‑training + path into planning ⭐ What You'll Do Plan daily production to meet customer due dates Communicate with customers by phone/email/in person with status updates Work with production to track orders and keep jobs moving Review purchase orders , specs, and basic drawings for accuracy Prepare job travelers , certifications, and required documentation Perform receiving inspection : count parts, check for damage, verify previous steps Stage and identify parts to maintain traceability Support in‑process inspections and quality requirements Assist across departments and learn new processes as you grow in the role Use Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint for scheduling and communication ⭐ What You Need Bilingual English/Spanish Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to read procedures, POs, specs, and basic blueprints Experience or aptitude in receiving, material handling, or inventory Basic computer/data entry skills Ability to lift 50 lbs and work safely in an industrial environment Valid driver's license Detail‑oriented, organized, and willing to learn ⭐ Nice to Have Experience in metal finishing or manufacturing Familiarity with FAA or aerospace requirements Exposure to quality inspection or production documentation ⭐ Why You'll Like This Job Stable, established operation with clear procedures and training Daily overtime opportunities once trained Hands‑on work + office planning tasks Cross‑training across six buildings and multiple departments Real growth into advanced planning and scheduling Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newport Beach, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
