Our client's energetic team operates in a fast-growing, ever-evolving marketplace where creating an experience is only half the battle-the real magic lies in successfully delivering it. If you excel at utilizing predictive methodologies to translate consumer behavior into retail success, this is your opportunity to make a massive impact. The Role As a Demand Planner, you will be responsible for ensuring that item-level sales forecasts seamlessly support overarching financial sales goals and business objectives. Reporting directly to the Manager of Demand Planning, you will leverage advanced forecasting methodologies to maximize retail sales, increase inventory turns, and optimize in-stock levels across all corporate stores and retail channels. Aquent is looking for a collaborative professional who can bridges the gap between historical data and future trends. Key Responsibilities Forecast & Exception Management (60%): Manage forecast and history exceptions at both the item/selling channel level and item/store level. Analyze historical event impacts on baseline forecasts to ensure appropriate sales lifts are accurately applied to future promotional windows. Merchandise Planning Collaboration (15%): Partner closely with the Merchandise Planning team to ensure bottoms-up forecasts align perfectly with Open to Buy (OTB) targets within the planning horizon. Core Sales & Replenishment (10%): Take complete ownership of core sales forecasts and strategic replenishment purchases to maintain inventory health. Seasonal Profile Optimization (10%): Validate and adjust demand system seasonal profiles as needed to account for holiday shifts, high-profile store animations, and promotional event timing. Cross-Functional Communication (5%): Communicate critical shifts in SKU and store-level trends to Merchandising and Merchandise Planning teams to directly influence broader Merchandising and Assortment Strategies.
What We're Looking For Experience:
Proven professional experience in demand planning, inventory forecasting, or retail supply chain management.
Technical & Analytical Skills:
Strong proficiency in demand planning software and predictive forecasting methodologies. Advanced data analysis skills with a knack for identifying trends and anomalies.
Collaboration:
A highly collaborative professional who can influence cross-functional teams, specifically partnering between Merchandising and Merchandise Planning.
Agility:
Ability to navigate seasonal shifts, fast-paced promotional calendars, and a constantly evolving product catalog.
Communication:
Clear, concise communication skills to effectively translate complex data trends into actionable retail strategies.
