About This Role:
The Transportation/Logistics Coordinator coordinates the processes and procedures for scheduling the transportation of shipments for SiteOne, Amazon, Home Depot, Lowe's, Menards, Ace hardware, custom manufacturing customers, distributors, and supports our other divisions with their transportation request. Demonstrates behavior that is consistent with the company's values of Customer Satisfaction, Innovation, Family, and Social Responsibility.
Essential Job Functions/Tasks:
Coordinates the printing of all domestic and international pick tickets and set up shipping priorities. Prints, collates, and validates load sheets for international shipments. Coordinates the routing for shipments from all divisions, internal partners, customer returns, RMA, and re-routes. Coordinates pickup appointments with carriers, ensuring timely departure. Prepares all required documents for shipments such as billing of lading, master manifest, placards, Hazmat documents, and any additional paperwork required. Responds to transportation related inquiries, by email and phone. Coordinates all domestic inbound and outbound shipments for Hunter, Dispensing Dynamics and Senninger. Track and fix shipping errors. Interacts with and communicates status of shipment to customer service, carriers, and shipping personnel. Administers each customer specific requirements for Routing, Marking, shipment details in customer(s) TMS system. Analyzes and audits quotes and invoices against Transportation Services. Ships and tracks outbound shipments to Customers and troubleshoot any delivery issues. Communicates all service failures to appropriate personnel. Updates all services requested in internal SharePoint form. Performs proper record keeping for inspections, audits, and claims. Consolidates shipments to use preferred rates and help optimize supply chain by saving time and reducing cost. Combines multiple LTL shipments into one full (multi-stop) truckload to reduce cost. Communicates ideas for process improvements to management team.
Education/Training Required and Preferred:
High School diploma or equivalent. Supply chain courses related to multi modal services and Hazardous Materials course preferred.
Experience Required and Preferred:
2-4 years of experience as a minimum in distribution and shipping processes or related field. Previous experience coordinating retail transportation accounts.
What You Bring:
Must have good written and verbal communication skills in English. Must have effective interpersonal skills to coordinate efforts and work with other departments. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work under minimal supervision, and to work within deadlines. Must have telephone etiquette. Analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action. Must have experience with ERP systems (JD Edwards Enterprise One preferred).

Compensation offered to the successful candidate will be determined by qualifications, prior experience, other job-related factors, and geographic location.
