Job Description

Central Supply Clerk needed for premier nursing facility. Come join our winning team! If you have a positive attitude and desire to serve others - we will train!

Position Summary:
Assists in organizing, tracking, ordering and providing supplies, personal protective wear and other equipment needed for running the facility and ensuring the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.
Qualifications:
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent Proficient in using personal computers and other office equipment (copiers, etc.) Positive, professional demeanor - ability to get along with others and respond kindly to requests for supplies, sometimes in urgent or stressful situations Ability to meet the physical demands of the position (lift/move boxes of up to 50 lbs., stock shelves, etc.)
Responsibilities:
Coordinates ordering of all stock and chargeable supplies with nursing or other staff Establishes Periodic Automatic Replenishment (PAR) with the Director of Nursing Reviews supply orders upon delivery, inspects for damaged goods, and verifies against purchase orders Ensures purchase orders are fully and accurately completed, signed and submitted timely as per policy Updates and maintains data relative to supplies using company software programs Delivers emergency supplies and equipment as needed and directed Collects and maintains data on chargeable supplies used by each resident Participates in daily and monthly physical inventory Ensures supply room is properly secured and supplies are accounted for and kept out of reach of residents at all times Cleans equipment as needed and in compliance with infection control procedures Coordinates and validates outside rental of equipment Ensures that vendors provide appropriate material safety data sheets (MSDSs) in accordance with current OSHA regulations and facility policies and procedures Reports problems, offering solutions on how to maintain the most efficient systems for securing and providing all facility supplies/resources needed for operations
