Carrier Compliance Assistant

The Carrier Compliance Assistant is responsible for ensuring successful carrier onboard in Highway, creating codes for Carrier Pay Team, and updating the CMS. Duties and direction will be given by the Carrier Compliance Manager.

Des Moines, IA or Chicago, IL
Hours:
1st Shift Monday through Friday
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities
Carrier Compliance:
Experience in Highway and CMS processes
Highway:
Responsibilities include onboarding carriers, working with Highway team to resolve issues on carriers' status with Bison, reviewing all documents scanned into Highway by customer, reviewing insurance and limit amounts, and calling carriers/insurancepanies and factoringpanies to obtain needed documents to ensure the carrier is accurately certified and inpliance with Bison requirements
CMS:
Transfer necessary information from Highway to CMS and Assign Temp ID on carriers for Carrier Pay
Work with Carrier Pay team including creation of carrier temp IDs and updating permanent ALT IDs
Work closely with Logistics team during all processes of onboarding and sustaining carrier requirements
Review, update, and activate carriers in CMS system to ensure carriers information is accurately inputted
Safety Compliance:
Review active carriers regularly (as per outlined parameters) for Safetypliance
Train new logistics staff on standard safety protocols for carriers and risk threshold management
Perform required audits of carriers in Highway
/make rmendation on action required to manager with regards to continued use of carrier
Logistics Support:
Assist with load appointments, tracking, and tracing
Miscellaneous duties to support Logistics Department
Other:
Engage in other projects and activities as necessary to the position and as assigned by your supervisor
Participate in and contribute to all other tasks and initiatives as is necessary and as it relates to the goals of thepany. i.e. Committees, work and focus groups
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent OR 3 years customer service/logistics experience
Basic geography of the United States
1 year of logistics-related customer service experience
