KEY RESPONSABILITY
To ensure the timely and efficient supply of materials, tools, equipment, and services required for continued operations while ensuring buying strategies and cost controls are adhered to.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Purchase Order Execution The MRO Specialist is responsible for the effective execution of all MRO purchase orders. This involves accurately processing orders, overseeing the order lifecycle from initiation to delivery, and ensuring that all purchases are made in compliance with specified budgets and procurement policies. This includes verifying stock availability, placing orders with approved suppliers, tracking order statuses, and coordinating with logistics to ensure timely receipt of materials. The specialist also addresses any discrepancies in order deliveries and manages returns or exchanges as needed. Communication The MRO Specialist must ensure seamless and continuous communication among key departments, including the warehouse, tool room, facilities, production, procurement, and logistics—to keep all stakeholders well-informed about the status and changes in purchase orders or MRO requirements. This role is crucial for proactively anticipating needs, addressing discrepancies, and providing timely updates on inventory and supply availability. Inventory Management Optimize inventory levels of MRO supplies to minimize stockouts and overstock situations, balancing operational needs with cost control. Implement FIFO and Kanban Concepts as part of the optimization process. Supplier Relationship Management Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent quality, reliability, and performance. Process Improvement Continuously seek opportunities to improve MRO procurement processes, leveraging technology and best practices ("FIFO", Kanban) Cost Reduction Quantify the cost reduction generated by improvements in supplier management, inventory management and other process improvement initiatives. Documentation Creating, updating, distributing or training to, documents related to the position/function, such as, but not limited to, procedures, instructions, flow charts, reports or metrics as assigned by the employee or management.QUALIFICATION REQUERIMENTS
At least 3-5 years of experience in MRO procurement or a similar role within a manufacturing or industrial environment Proven track record of managing MRO supplies, executing purchase orders, and handling supplier relationships Strong proficiency in procurement software and inventory management systems Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on findings Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to effectively interact with all levels of the organization and with suppliers Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address discrepancies and optimize procurement processes.
