This role helps coordinate shipments, works with suppliers and carriers, maintains accurate records, and ensures logistics activities align with production and delivery schedules. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and comfortable working closely with production and planning teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Hours:
Full-Time, M-F, 6:30am-3:00pm (Occasional OT) Essential Roles & Responsibilities Assist with inbound and outbound shipments, including scheduling pickups, preparing paperwork, and tracking deliveries. Coordinate with production, planning, and purchasing teams to ensure materials move efficiently and on time. Communicate with carriers, freight providers, and suppliers to resolve shipping or delivery issues. Support warehouse operations and work with the team to improve efficiency. Maintain accurate records for purchases, pricing, and inventory. Track orders and confirm timely delivery of materials. Review incoming products for quality and accuracy. Help manage inventory levels and perform regular inventory checks. Assist with forecasting material needs and logistics planning. Address supplier or customer concerns related to shipping or deliveries. Support other departments as needed and assist with special projects as needed. Skills & Experience Strong communication and teamwork skills. High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred. 1-3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or a similar role, preferably in manufacturing. Comfortable using Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and ERP or logistics systems. Strong organization, problem-solving, and time-management skills. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Able to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels. Capable of standing for long periods and performing tasks that involve bending, twisting, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
