ABOUT THE ROLE
The Equipment Demand Planner plays a critical role in aligning customer demand with operational execution. This position is responsible for developing, maintaining, and continuously improving demand forecasts for equipment and related services by leveraging historical data, business intelligence, and close collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations. This role serves as a key liaison between commercial teams and operations—ensuring forecasts are accurate, assumptions are aligned, and plans support customer satisfaction, quality, and business growth.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Develop, maintain, and improve short‑ and long‑term equipment demand forecasts using historical sales data, trends, and statistical models Analyze forecast accuracy, identify variances, and refine models based on updated assumptions and cross‑functional input Maintain annual, monthly, and weekly forecasts in accordance with company guidelines Track and report weekly progress of sales and production forecasts Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, and Operations to understand demand drivers and align forecasts Facilitate a collaborative, consensus‑based forecasting process Participate in bi‑weekly forecast review meetings to align on customer needs and operational priorities Communicate customer action plans and forecast changes effectively to planning and operations teams Use Dynamics GP (or equivalent ERP system) as the primary forecasting and planning tool Support inventory strategy development for existing products, new equipment, and product phase‑outs Coordinate production plans to support forecast execution Publish warehouse, logistics, and customer service planning reports for supply chain visibility Coordinate stock and logistics requirements for service program activities Support quality, food safety, regulatory compliance, and operational integrity objectives Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to safety, quality, and compliance Act in accordance with KanPak's Code of Business Conduct, Creed, and Values
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
High School Diploma or GED required (Associate degree preferred) Experience working in a manufacturing environment Bachelor's degree (preferred) 3+ years of experience in manufacturing supply chain, demand planning, or forecasting
PAY & BENEFITS
Pay Range (Base Pay): $52,000/yr- $57,500/yr
