Description:
Manage the influx and return of customer equipment requiring Metrology calibration/repair for a smooth orderly flow thru the Metrology FIFO process including updating the data collection system to be compliant with AS9100 Rev D requirements. Collect and return calibrated equipment via the daily driving of the Metrology PIV.
Basic Qualifications:
❑ Maintain up to date records using electronic computer aided systems. ❑ Prepare and complete and process all related paper work and reports required. ❑ Work from backlog schedules, verbal instructions, and written requests to make timely responses with respect to customer requirements and/or special requests. Perform other related duties as directed. ❑ Operate PIV daily as situation warrants. ❑ Unload/unpack and handle all types of equipment from the daily driving of the PIV, shipments from outlying locations, and items returned from outside calibration. ❑ Open shipments to check packing slips against contents received and move equipment to proper staging area. Process daily recalled calibration items into the Metrology Electronic Database. Properly store and manage all types of equipment for calibration FIFO in a neat and orderly fashion per AS9100 Rev D requirements. ❑ Load or unload items awaiting shipment onto shelves or in staging areas, perform other duties usually of a related or similar nature. ❑ Perform Diversified duties to pack, preserve and prepare for shipment all types of equipment being sent to vendors or other Lockheed labs and update the Metrology Electronic Database to reflect current status. ❑ Perform a variety of clerical duties to validate/accept calibration certificates from vendors, scan and upload supporting documentation and update the Metrology Electronic Database, apply calibration stickers and stage for return to customer. ❑ Segregate waste material and follow good housekeeping practices. ❑ Refer all unusual conditions such as overages, shortages and damage to leadman or Supervision for disposition or follow-up.
