Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Shipping Logistics Coordinator to join the Koster Keunen team. In this pivotal role, you will support daily shipping logistics of finished goods and samples along with backfill in various customer service functions. The incumbent exercises independent judgement to ensure accuracy and efficiency of each shipped order. Works closely with Customer Service, Shipping and the Warehouse team to ensure customer orders deliver as promised with high satisfaction. Responsibilities Support scheduling of Koster Keunen shipments and works closely with Customer Service, Logistics and Production teams Ensures timely delivery of product by creating shipping labels, placards, handling shipping information and sending booking requests to shipping lines (domestic and/or exports) as needed Resolves shipping issues and conflicts by making decisions on shipping methods and services and assisting team with inquiries Ensures shipment process is cost effective and efficient by deciding on when to consolidate shipments and analyze costs/rates Monitor the progress of scheduled orders to ensure customer expectations are met, commitments are kept and delivery schedule is achieved Supports the sales team by shipping samples, literature and promotional items as requested with Samples Coordinator Supports the Service team as needed to process customer orders and sample requests requests into the
ERP / CRM
systems, with accuracy and completeness When communicating with customers, listen to their needs and provide accurate information, delivery and availability, order and shipping status, and order changes Provides excellent customer service by performing administrative duties as needed (i.e. answering phones, updating records) Ensures orders are completed on time by working with members of Production Shipping Team Process customer returns Maintains customer confidence by keeping information confidential Maintains a safe, clean working environment by complying with procedures, and rules Identify and implement continuous improvement ideas to enhance products and practices. Follows the Koster Keunen Company Values Other projects as needed Education, Certifications and /or licenses: High school diploma or GED, some college preferred
Experience:
Minimum of three years prior experience in an inventory, shipping logistics or customer focused role with similar responsibilities Experience working in a manufacturing or distribution environment preferred
Knowledge/Skills:
Excellent typing and/or word processing skills Proficient PC skills using MS Office and other various computer systems (ie, Macola) Must be results-oriented professional with excellent verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as the ability to communicate effectively Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pays attention to detail and meet deadlines
