Job Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Material Planner 1 for a contract opportunity in Apopka, FL.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
(REQUIRED
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
): o High School Diploma with 2 years of combined experience in Material Planning, Global Supply Chain or Material Handling. o Bill of Materials (BOM) o Communication, customer service and strong attention to detail and accuracy. o Microsoft Excel. o U.S. Citizenship required. o The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance is required.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Looking for a Material Planner 1 to support our MRP Planning department. As a member of the MRP Planning department you'll get to manage materials from dock to shipping while interfacing with other functional areas. Responsibilities o Prepares lists of materials, accessories, and parts used in production following engineering and design blueprints. Examines blueprints, identifies parts code, computes quantity needed, and lists total material requirements including contract numbers, routing, and special handling instructions. Submits list to purchasing department for use in preparing purchase orders. o Understanding customer requirements through RFPs and other requests o Collaborating and coordinating with other functional areas to develop the material procurement strategy, interfacing with Global Supply Chain, Program Management, and Operations Program Management. o Ensuring delivery schedule adherence o Prepares shop work orders for materials and product processing and coordinates with schedulers to ensure that items are being processed according to specifications and time requirements. o Maintains progress reports, schedules, and other related records. o Maintains "as required" material planning, reorder points and consumption.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
): o Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of combined experience in Material Planning, Global Supply Chain or Material Handling. o Experience in working with manufacturing specifications and drawings. o Materials Requirements Planning (MRP). o
SAP MRP. REQUIRED EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent. School must be accredited.
WORK HOURS
5/40 work week. This position will serve on-site at Apopka, FL.
