Global Logistics of Jacksonville, Inc. is a proud Landstar Agency dedicated to providing exceptional freight solutions. We are currently seeking an experienced Over-the-Road (OTR) Dispatcher to coordinate truckload freight, build strong carrier relationships, and ensure operational excellence. Position Summary The Dispatcher / Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating shipments, communicating with drivers and customers, tracking freight, resolving service issues, and ensuring the successful execution of daily transportation operations. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask under pressure. Responsibilities Coordinate and dispatch freight shipments throughout North America Communicate with drivers, carriers, customers, and internal team members Track shipments and provide proactive status updates Monitor pickup and delivery appointments to ensure on-time performance Resolve transportation issues and service failures quickly and professionally Maintain accurate shipment records and documentation Assist with carrier sourcing and capacity management Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and transportation providers Manage after-hours and weekend on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis Ensure compliance with company policies and transportation regulations Qualifications Minimum 2 years of transportation dispatching, logistics coordination, or brokerage experience required Strong knowledge of transportation operations and freight movement Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure Strong organizational and time-management skills Proficient with Microsoft Office and transportation management software Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience Paid time off Opportunities for professional growth and advancement Supportive team environment Stable, long-term career opportunity in the transportation industry
