Job Description

Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Materials Expediter to join our dynamic manufacturing and supply chain team. In this vital role, you will coordinate the timely procurement, delivery, and management of materials essential for production processes. Your expertise will ensure seamless inventory flow, optimize logistics operations, and support manufacturing efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where precision and communication drive success. Duties Monitor and manage inventory levels using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, and other supply chain management tools to ensure materials are available when needed for production schedules. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to expedite purchase orders, track shipments, and resolve any delays or discrepancies promptly. Collaborate closely with procurement, logistics, warehouse teams, and production planners to align material availability with manufacturing demands. Maintain accurate records of materials movement, inventory status, and procurement activities in compliance with company policies. Support demand planning and production scheduling by providing real-time updates on material status and potential shortages. Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize inventory control processes and reduce waste across the supply chain. Assist in contract management related to supplier agreements, ensuring compliance with terms and fostering strong supplier relationships. Skills Technical proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, and other supply chain software is essential for effective materials management. Strong knowledge of procurement processes, purchasing procedures, and logistics inventory management techniques. Experience in manufacturing environments with a focus on production planning, demand forecasting, and MRP (Material Requirements Planning). Familiarity with warehouse operations, inventory control practices, and logistics coordination within a supply chain context. Excellent communication skills for supplier management, contract negotiations, and cross-departmental collaboration. Ability to analyze data related to inventory levels, lead times, and supply chain metrics to make informed decisions. Knowledge of lean manufacturing methodologies to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
