Full Job Description Job Title:

Logistics Agent Position Summary The Logistics Agent coordinates the movement of goods, materials, and shipments to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. This role serves as a liaison between customers, carriers, warehouses, and internal teams, managing transportation schedules, tracking shipments, resolving delivery issues, and maintaining accurate logistics records. Key Responsibilities Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with carriers, vendors, and customers. Schedule pickups, deliveries, and transportation services. Monitor shipment status and provide updates to customers and stakeholders. Prepare and review shipping documents, bills of lading, invoices, and customs documentation as required. Resolve shipping delays, damages, shortages, and other transportation issues. Maintain accurate records in transportation management and inventory systems. Verify freight charges and assist with invoice reconciliation. Ensure export records are accurate, complete, and compliant with applicable regulations and company policies. Ensure compliance with company policies and transportation regulations. Communicate effectively with warehouses, drivers, freight brokers, and customers. Analyze logistics processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field preferred. Previous experience in logistics, transportation, customer service, or supply chain operations preferred. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Experience with transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), or ERP software is a plus. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Skills Knowledge of freight, trucking, air, ocean, or intermodal transportation. Understanding of inventory control and supply chain processes. Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) may be preferred depending on business needs. Physical Requirements Primarily office-based work with extended periods of sitting and computer use. May occasionally visit warehouses, distribution centers, or transportation facilities. Typical Schedule Full-time, Monday through Friday. Occasional overtime, weekends, or after-hours support may be required to address urgent shipment issues.

Pay:

$25.00 - $28.00 per hour
