Job Description
Description We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Weston, Florida. In this contract position, you will play a pivotal role in managing the movement of goods and ensuring a seamless sales order process from start to finish. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong follow-through, and the ability to maintain accurate records while optimizing logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the complete lifecycle of sales orders, from receipt to delivery, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
- Plan and coordinate delivery routes to maximize efficiency and meet customer expectations.
- Schedule and communicate pickups and deliveries with trucking partners to ensure accurate and reliable transportation.
- Provide exceptional customer service by collaborating with the sales team and addressing client inquiries.
- Monitor order progress, ensuring timely pickups, deliveries, and resolution of any issues that arise.
- Coordinate with cold storage facilities to release products and confirm availability for shipment.
- Track and maintain detailed shipment records, resolving any logistical delays or complications.
- Submit finalized shipment data and order details to accounting for further processing.
- Input and update logistics information accurately within company systems to maintain data integrity. Requirements
- Proven experience in logistics coordination or a related field.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively across teams and with clients.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and Excel.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple orders simultaneously.
- Familiarity with shipping functions, customs procedures, and distribution processes.
- Ability to follow through on tasks and ensure all steps of the logistics process are completed.
- Detail-oriented with strong data entry skills to maintain accurate records.
- Tech-savvy and comfortable working with logistics management systems.
