Job Objective The Logistics Specialist is responsible for supporting the maintenance team by managing the inventory of aircraft component parts and tools. Essential Functions Maintain inventory levels of aircraft parts, tooling, and consumables Maintain accurate inventory control Maintain required FAA documentation of aircraft parts Perform monthly/quarterly shelf-life inspections of aircraft parts Requisition of parts, tooling, consumables, and supplies for scheduled/unscheduled aircraft inspections and stock Ensure compliance with tooling calibration and certifications Shipping and receiving aircraft component parts Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSA) Honesty, integrity, and a commitment to maintaining safe, compliant aircraft High attention to detail Extreme focus on accuracy and timeliness in a high-volume atmosphere Work successfully independently as well as in a team environment Sound judgment and objectivity in decision-making Effective maintenance planning and scheduling skills Exemplary customer service Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Office suite Education & Experience High School diploma or equivalent Valid Driver's License Parts management experience preferred Physical Demands Prolonged periods of walking, pulling, pushing, reaching, bending, squatting, kneeling, sitting, and standing Climbing on various heights Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Work Environment Dependent upon location - indoor/outdoor aircraft hangar or shop with potentially extreme cold and hot temperatures Potential for exposure to hazardous chemicals Work Status, Schedule, & Travel Full-time Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week On-call after hours and weekends when necessary Travel in the local area and to various bases - 25% •Metro Aviation, Inc. does not have a Visa Sponsorship program at this time• Metro Aviation, Inc. is committed to employees, customers, and the community to promote diversity and inclusion by developing policies, programs, and procedures that foster a work environment where differences are respected and employees are treated fairly.
