JOB OVERVIEW
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for supporting the logistics process, which includes entire life cycle of specific products(s). This position will maintain the systems that facilitate the acquisition, distribution, allocation, delivery and resource disposal of the Company's products. This position reports to the Senior Logistics Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REPSONSIBILITIES
1. Coordinate with customers, Shasta associates and freight carriers to arrange the pickup of products for delivery. 2. Track the delivery progress of products and communicate with carriers and customers to ensure successful shipments. 3. Troubleshoot problems associated with delivery schedules and damaged products during the shipping process. 4. Utilize Logistics systems, TMS, Routing Guide, APPX to manage customer order deliveries. 5. Maintain business relationships and open lines of communication with each customer's key personnel involved in or directly relevant to a shipment. 6. Develop an understanding of customers' shipping requirements and take actions to ensure that expectations are met. 7. Cross train on each logistics function within the Logistics Department. 8. Other duties as assigned by the Logistics Manager.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common information, reports and other documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or company representatives. Ability to effectively present information to management.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Field positions will be exposed to various unfamiliar conditions where Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn and which may include but are not limited to: manufacturing and warehouse plants, and other venues as directed by supervisor. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but increases significantly in warehouse and manufacturing plants.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • High school diploma required.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills in English. Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Favorable background and drug screen.
  • Ability and willingness to work a flexible Full Time schedule that may include weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to provide own transportation to various locations in organizational service areas, as required by duties.
  • Minimum of 1 - 2 years in a logistics, shipping or warehouse environment.
  • Process-oriented thinker with logistics/shipping troubleshooting experience.
