Job Description

Are you a detail-oriented supply chain professional who thrives on solving real-time logistics challenges, coordinating with vendors daily, and keeping high-volume manufacturing lines running smoothly? As Cerebral Staffing , we are looking for a proactive Supply Management Planner to join our team supporting our client, John Deere , at their Commercial Products facility in Grovetown, GA . If you possess strong negotiation skills, excel at analyzing data, and want to play a key role in optimizing factory material flow, we want to hear from you. Supply Management Planner This is a high-visibility, long-term 1+ year contract opportunity paying up to $25/hr and including 1 week of PTO , with excellent opportunities for overtime. Operating fully onsite, you will serve as a critical point of contact for company logistics teams, factory operations, and the supply base to ensure purchased materials arrive exactly when needed to support the production plan.
Position Details & Compensation Pay Rate:
Up to $25/hr (W2) + Overtime Opportunities .
Location:
100% Onsite in Grovetown, GA. Must be willing to relocate domestically if not local.
Duration:
1+ Year.
Shift:
1st Shift with early morning flexibility. Must be in the office by 7:00 AM EST (Schedule options: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM or 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM).

Core Responsibilities Expediting & Material Scheduling:
Schedule and expedite the delivery of purchased parts and materials to protect the daily production plan. Evaluate supply bottlenecks and confidently recommend premium logistics or air freight alternatives when critical line stoppages loom.
Daily Supplier Communication:
Maintain daily contact with assigned suppliers regarding delivery schedules, tracking supplier delinquency, and executing strict performance recovery plans.
Exception & Discrepancy Resolution:
Manage factory Hot Part Requests, resolve Aged Advanced Shipping Notices (ASNs), address Goods Receipt Compliance issues, and audit shipping/receiving problems to ensure prompt, accurate vendor payments.
Continuous Supplier Improvement:
Partner closely with Supply Management Specialists to monitor vendor metrics, implement corrective actions for short-term performance dips, and drive continuous improvement utilizing John Deere's Achieving Excellence criteria.
Data Metrics & Analytics:
Gather and compile logistics data to ensure the plant's operational business objectives are actively met.
Required Skills & Experience Supply Chain Foundations:
A solid conceptual understanding of the Order Fulfillment process and core manufacturing plant operations.
Conflict Resolution & Communication:
Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to handle vendor negotiations and resolve logistics conflicts professionally.
Analytical Tools:
Proven capability to gather, organize, and analyze supply data, with proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite—especially Microsoft Excel , Word, and Outlook.
Education Track:
A degree in Business, Management, Engineering, Technology, or a Supply Management discipline—or equivalent relative industrial work experience. What Makes You Stand Out Prior material planning or supply management experience inside a fast-paced manufacturing facility. Cross-functional exposure across factory logistics, material flow, or supplier development. Practical knowledge of the SAP landscape . Proficiency utilizing business intelligence tools such as Tableau , PowerBI , and SharePoint.
