Logistics Coordinator

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team! Duties Manage and coordinate warehouse distribution activities, including shipping & receiving, inventory management, and materials handling to ensure timely order fulfillment. Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and ERP platforms like SAP or AS400 to plan routes, schedule shipments, and monitor freight movements. Conduct data collection and analysis using SQL, Tableau, and supply chain analytics tools to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements. Negotiate with vendors, carriers, and 3PL providers to secure optimal pricing, contracts, and service levels while maintaining supplier management relationships. Oversee procurement activities related to sourcing materials and products, ensuring compliance with category management strategies and demand planning. Perform root cause analysis on supply chain disruptions or delays to develop effective solutions that minimize impact on operations. Coordinate with warehouse teams for materials handling, inventory control, and stocking procedures while ensuring safety standards such as forklift operation are followed. Requirements Proven experience in supply chain management, logistics coordination, or warehouse distribution roles. Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in SQL, Tableau, ERP systems (such as SAP or AS400), and supply chain analytics tools. Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and demand planning software like MRP or production planning tools. Excellent negotiation skills combined with vendor management experience to optimize pricing and service agreements. Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment such as forklifts is preferred; certification is a plus. Ability to perform process improvement initiatives through root cause analysis and data-driven decision-making. Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments including procurement, shipping & receiving, and vendor relations.
