Full-Time Full Job Description Dowell Express Inc. is seeking a detail oriented Operations Clerk to support daily transportation and logistics activities. This role plays a critical part in keeping operations organized, ensuring accurate data entry, and maintaining clear communication between drivers, dispatch, and customers. This is an entry level position ideal for someone looking to grow within the transportation and logistics industry. Qualifications Prior experience in trucking, transportation, logistics, or dispatch preferred not required Must have reliable transportation and ability to work in-office for assigned shifts Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and ability to complete tasks accurately Ability to handle a high volume of calls (80-100+ per shift) Strong verbal and written communication skills Customer service experience is a plus Positive, team-oriented attitude with a strong work ethic Responsibilities The following outlines key responsibilities for this role. Additional duties may be assigned as needed. Monitor and track all active shipments to ensure accurate, real-time updates Conduct check calls with drivers for pickups, deliveries, and in-transit updates Communicate proactively with drivers to identify and resolve issues Provide clear and timely updates to dispatch and operations teams Maintain accurate records including times, locations, equipment, and load details Escalate delays or service issues to leadership as needed Support overall operations by ensuring consistent communication across teams Complete end-of-shift updates and reporting Meet performance expectations and KPIs set by management Schedule & Compensation Full-time position (40 hours per week) Hourly pay based on experience Overtime available after 40 hours What We Offer Competitive hourly pay Opportunity for growth within a rapidly expanding company Stable, team-oriented work environment Hands-on experience in transportation and logistics operations Additional Information Employment with Dowell Express Inc. is at-will, meaning either the employee or the company may terminate employment at any time, with or without cause or notice.
