Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dental Schedule Coordinator to join our Dental team. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of dental office operations. As a Dental Schedule Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing patient appointments, coordinating with clinical staff, verifying insurance coverage, and ensuring smooth daily clinic operations. Your role is vital in delivering exceptional patient service and maintaining efficient workflow within the dental practice. Duties Schedule patient appointments accurately using dental practice management software such as Dentrix, ensuring optimal utilization of provider time. Occasionally verify insurance benefits and coverage details through systems like Revenue Well to facilitate seamless billing processes. Manage patient intake procedures, including collecting necessary documentation and updating electronic health records (EHR systems) such as Revenue Well. Communicate effectively with patients via multi-line phone systems, providing appointment reminders and addressing inquiries with professionalism and courtesy. Review medical and dental documentation for completeness and accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and coding standards like CPT, ICD-9, and ICD-10. Maintain organized medical records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive health information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. Support front desk operations by managing filing systems, processing payments, and providing exceptional patient service in a fast-paced environment. Skills Proficiency in dental practice management software such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar systems; experience with EMR/EHR platforms including Epic, Meditech, Revenue Well, or eClinicalWorks is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of dental terminology. Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing accuracy (10 key typing). Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy clinic setting. Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively serve diverse patient populations. Prior clinic or dental office experience is preferred; familiarity with dental terminology such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft enhances performance. Outstanding communication skills with professional phone etiquette and customer service orientation. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to health information management and documentation review processes. $20.58 - $25.60 per hour
