  • 5:00 PM Our client is a structural steel fabrication and engineering company known for its long-tenured leadership, stable operations, and strong internal promotion track.

They are looking for you, an experienced Materials Coordinator, to support production planning and material flow in a direct hire role. This position is essential to operations and offers the opportunity to grow into leadership as part of a long-term succession plan.
What you get to do:
  • Work in Tekla (EPM/PowerFab) to review and interpret structural steel drawings
  • Translate drawings into material usage and cutting plans
  • Determine available inventory vs. required materials
  • Coordinate with purchasing and shop teams on material needs
  • Perform math-based calculations for lengths, quantities, and cuts
  • Manage material tracking, labeling, and inventory updates
  • Support production flow by improving efficiency and reducing bottlenecks What you need to succeed:
  • Strong math skills (fractions, measurements, calculations)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical or structural drawings
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to learn new software (Tekla) quickly
  • Self-sufficient with strong decision-making ability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
