Truck Tracker / Logistics Operations Coordinator 207 Tebeau St, Waycross, GA 31501 $10

  • Part-time, Full-time Position Summary The Truck Tracker is responsible for monitoring shipments from pickup through delivery, maintaining communication with drivers and customers, updating load statuses, and ensuring on-time service.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has excellent communication skills, and enjoys solving problems before they become issues. Responsibilities Track freight movement from pickup to final delivery. Communicate regularly with drivers via phone, text, and ELD/GPS systems. Provide customers with accurate shipment updates and ETAs. Monitor appointments and proactively address delays. Document all shipment activity in the Transportation Management System (TMS). Coordinate with dispatch, brokers, and customers to resolve issues quickly. Verify proof of delivery (PODs) and ensure paperwork is completed accurately. Escalate service failures or potential delays to management immediately. Maintain accurate shipment records and operational notes. Support the operations team with additional logistics-related tasks as needed. Qualifications Previous experience in logistics, transportation, dispatch, or freight brokerage preferred. Strong phone etiquette and professional communication skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and transportation software (experience with TMS systems is a plus). Strong problem-solving skills with great attention to detail. High school diploma or equivalent required. Preferred Skills Knowledge of Hours of Service (HOS) regulations. Experience using GPS/ELD tracking platforms. Customer service experience. Ability to prioritize multiple shipments simultaneously. Schedule Monday-Friday Occasional evenings or weekends as business needs require.
