Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:
Customer Communication:
Acts as the main point of contact for order inquiries, delivery updates, and issue resolution.
Order Management:
Inputs, processes, and tracks customer orders, ensuring accuracy in shipping documentation.
Logistics Coordination:
Communicates with dispatchers, drivers, and suppliers to manage freight movements and resolve shipping discrepancies. Detailed coordination of complex operations.
Problem Resolution:
Proactively identifies and resolves delivery delays, supply chain disruptions, or inventory errors.
Documentation:
Prepares and reviews shipping documents, including invoices, bills of lading, and damage claims.
System Utilization:
Uses ERP or logistics IT systems to monitor and optimize shipping procedures.
Education and Work Experience:
Post HS coursework in logistics or equivalent preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
Communication Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication to effectively communicate with customers and carriers.
Persistence:
Able to push past obstacles and work through chaos and achieve the goals of the department.
Logistics Knowledge:
Experience with transportation methods, supply chain management, and industry software.
Problem-Solving:
Ability to resolve complex logistical challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Organizational Skills:
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. A Customer Logistics Liaison acts as the primary link between customers, sales teams, and carriers to ensure seamless order fulfillment, tracking, and delivery. They are responsible for resolving shipping issues, providing timely updates on delays, maintaining accurate documentation (bills of lading, invoices), and enhancing customer satisfaction through proactive communication.
