Purchasing Analyst

Overview We are seeking a highly motivated Purchasing Analyst to join our dynamic procurement team. This role is essential in optimizing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the seamless flow of materials and services necessary for operational excellence. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in procurement processes, supply chain management, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to support the organization's growth and efficiency. Duties Analyze purchasing data using our ERP systems Microsoft Navision (NAV) Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms that align with organizational goals. Manage procurement activities including sourcing, supplier evaluation, and purchase order processing within materials management modules. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with logistics teams to optimize supply chain operations and reduce excess or obsolete stock. Support production planning and merchandising efforts by ensuring timely availability of raw materials and finished goods. Maintain comprehensive records of procurement transactions, contracts, and supplier performance metrics. Assist in implementing supply chain improvements through data analysis and process refinement initiatives. Stay informed on industry trends related to e-commerce, logistics, and supply chain innovations to recommend best practices. Qualifications Proven experience working with ERP systems Strong understanding of materials management, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), inventory management, and procurement processes. Demonstrated negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable terms with suppliers. Knowledge of supply chain management principles including logistics, inventory control, pricing strategies, and production planning. Familiarity with contracts management and sourcing procedures within a global or diverse market environment. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets related to purchasing and inventory. Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments and negotiating with vendors.
