Event Logistics Associate

at Lakeshore Athletic Services, Inc. in Morton Grove, Illinois, United States Job Description Lake Shore Athletic Services (Morton Grove, IL) seeks an Event Logistics Associate to set up and tear down race equipment for athletic endurance events.

Specific duties include:

load trucks at warehouse with event equipment using proper loading and strapping techniques (15%); unload trucks from events and put equipment back in designated warehouse locations (15%); operate Teeco tent washing machine (2.5%); conduct warehouse inventory (2.5%); oversee and instruct warehouse associates on proper loading and unloading procedures (5%); operate a variety of machinery and vehicles in the company fleet including driving to and from events, as well as moving trucks in and out of loading docks (5%); assemble, operate, and disassemble event equipment including central and armbruster brand tents, TopTec 40 ft Tube Frame Tent, various truss structures, stages, sign holders, crowd control fencing, and traffic control devices (20%); instruct various event associates on the proper techniques to assemble and disassemble event equipment (5%); implement traffic control procedures to close and open roads for events (10%); load and unload event vehicles and semi-trailers at the actual events and oversee various event associates and instruct them on proper loading and strapping techniques (20%). Must have a valid driver's license. Travel required domestically 50% of the time for event productions. Position requires working varied hours/days, including early mornings, weekends and holidays, as needed. Position requires 3 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Warehouse Associate, Delivery Driver, or similar event production position. Must have 1 year of experience with each of the following: using power and hand tools including stake puller, impact drill, wrench and ratchets; operating moving and lifting equipment including forklift and lift-gate; following established safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe and clean environment; interacting with clients in a professional and courteous manner; using effective verbal communication and leadership skills. Must have a valid driver's license. Travel required domestically 50% of the time for event productions. Position requires working varied hours/days, including early mornings, weekends and holidays, as needed.

Salary:

$24.00/hr.
