Freight Manager

Freight and Inventory Manager / Coordinator SIC Recycling Inc. About the Role SIC Recycling Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Freight and Inventory Manager / Coordinator to oversee freight scheduling, shipment tracking, and inventory coordination across daily operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple moving parts, and takes pride in maintaining accurate inventory records and efficient freight activity. The right candidate is highly organized, proactive, and capable of working closely with internal teams, vendors, and transportation partners to support smooth and timely material movement. Key Responsibilities Coordinate inbound and outbound freight shipments with carriers, vendors, and internal teams Schedule pickups, deliveries, and appointments to ensure timely transportation of materials Track shipments and communicate updates regarding status, delays, or issues Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels across operations Conduct routine inventory checks, cycle counts, and reconciliations Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, inventory variances, and damaged material issues Work closely with operations, purchasing, warehouse, and accounting teams to support workflow and accuracy Review bills of lading, packing slips, freight invoices, and related documentation for accuracy Assist with inventory planning and replenishment to avoid shortages or overstock situations Maintain organized records of freight activity, inventory transactions, and operational reporting Qualifications Previous experience in freight coordination, inventory control, logistics, warehouse operations, or a related role required Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Excel experience required Experience with inventory systems, ERP systems, or shipping platforms is a plus Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multiple departments What We're Looking For A dependable, detail-oriented professional who can keep freight and inventory processes running smoothly Someone who is organized, responsive, and comfortable handling multiple priorities at once A candidate who values accuracy and follows through on tasks and communication A team player who can build strong working relationships with vendors, carriers, and internal staff Someone who can identify issues quickly and help keep operations efficient and on track Benefits Paid holidays and vacation time Health, vision, and dental insurance Life insurance 401(k) plan with company match Routine performance and compensation reviews Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Safety equipment allowance All benefits are subject to change.
