As Cerebral Staffing , we are looking for a proactive Service Parts Supply Management Planner to join our team supporting our client, John Deere , at their logistics and parts hub in Rock Island, IL . Supply Management Planner (Service Parts) - John Deere Rock Island This is an incredibly stable, ultra-long-term 6+ year contract opportunity paying up to $25/hr , including 1 week of PTO . Operating 100% onsite in Rock Island, IL on a flexible 1st shift, you will take immediate ownership of a dedicated parts commodity portfolio—driving supplier delivery schedules, monitoring critical fulfillment metrics, and resolving order delays.
Position Details & Compensation Pay Rate:
Up to $25/hr (W2).
Location:
100% Onsite in Rock Island, IL. (Position starts onsite immediately).
Duration:
6+ Years (An exceptionally rare, multi-year assignment providing elite stability).
Shift & Hours:
1st Shift (Core flexible hours between 6:00 AM and 5:00 PM). Standard 40-hour work week with no mandatory overtime; any requested OT would be highly minimal.

Core Responsibilities System Tracking & Applications:
Daily utilize web-based John Deere management platforms and tracking tools—including SPERT, ZMDelinq, and Lights (SAP modules) —to closely monitor parts logistics and secure on-time deliveries.
Multi-Stakeholder Collaboration:
Act as the central communications node for your assigned commodity of parts, partnering closely with external suppliers, internal buyers, and forecasting analysts.
Performance Metrics Governance:
Actively monitor, evaluate, and report on key fulfillment indicators, including plant FILL rate, On-Time Delivery (OTD), FLASH/Backorder Cycle Time, and past-due orders.
Fulfillment Management:
Identify supply constraints, iron out logistics bottlenecks with suppliers, and establish aggressive recovery plans for delinquent materials to fulfill rolling client orders.
Required Skills & Experience Experience Baseline:
Ideally possesses a minimum of 3 years of material planning, procurement, or logistics experience. (Open to recent business graduates with strong internships and previous John Deere contingent worker experience is highly considered).
Software Literacy:
Proficiency within the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel. Must be highly trainable on complex web-based supply databases.
Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication habits with the capacity to confidently align shifting priorities across internal corporate desks and external vendors.
Education Foundations:
Bachelor's degree in a Business-related field or equivalent professional experience. What Makes You Stand Out Prior background navigating SAP enterprise software environments (specifically planning or warehouse modules). Direct experience inside a parts distribution, aftermarket fulfillment, or dealer service support layout.
