Job Description

First call is looking for a logistics coordinator. The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing shipping, receiving, and transportation activities to ensure the timely and accurate movement of materials and products. This role works closely with carriers, customers, sales teams, and project managers to coordinate deliveries, maintain inventory accuracy, and resolve shipping-related issues. Key Responsibilities Schedule inbound and outbound freight shipments. Coordinate pickups and deliveries with transportation carriers. Prepare and process bills of lading, packing lists, shipping labels, and other required shipping documentation. Verify incoming materials against purchase orders and receiving records. Investigate and help resolve freight damage claims, shipping discrepancies, and delivery issues. Coordinate delivery schedules and shipment requirements with customers. Collaborate with sales and project management teams to meet customer expectations and project timelines. Maintain accurate inventory records and update inventory transactions as needed. Generate shipping paperwork and ensure compliance with company procedures. Track logistics performance metrics and maintain KPI reports. Support continuous improvement efforts within shipping, receiving, and logistics operations. Qualifications Experience in logistics, shipping, receiving, transportation, or supply chain operations is required. Working knowledge of shipping documentation and freight processes. Strong organizational and communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and inventory or ERP systems. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
