Role Overview:
Seasonal employee works throughout LaPorte District, as needed. Duties include part transfers between shops, parts pick up from vendors, filling in for stockroom clerks, vehicle transport, and assisting logistics personnel with various projects. Must be able to move and load supplies and materials.
Location:
This position is located in INDOT's LaPorte District, and will travel district-wide.
Pay Rate:
This position pays an hourly rate of $18.00. A Day in the
Life:
The essential elements of the job duties: Responsible for completing tasks assigned by our Logistics Division Assistant Director. Maintains office filing system, inventory, and searches files for retrieval of information. Enter data into Excel or Microsoft as needed. Scheduling meetings/trainings, taking notes, tracking projects. Performs variety of related clerical tasks (e.g.; open/sort mail, compose/edit correspondence relative to assigned work, maintain files, answer telephone inquiries) Transferring parts for shops as needed. Cleaning and Organizing of Logistics Center. Success:
This person must have the following requirements to be considered for employment: Valid high school diploma or GED preferred Must have a valid driver's license. Must be able to perform daily duties independently and/or with other people. Must have knowledge about Excel, Microsoft, and Outlook. Must be able to complete tasks in a timely manner. Must be able to take orders on which tasks need to be completed. Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate clearly. Pay attention to details and have organizational skills and time management.
Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:
This role may be utilized in a supervisory capacity based on agency needs. Benefits of Employment with the

This seasonal position does not offer benefits and is limited to 180 working days in an eleven (11) month continuous period.
