Job Description

About the Role The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing all inbound and outbound logistics operations to ensure efficient order processing, timely shipments, and excellent customer service. This position coordinates transportation, shipping documentation, inventory movement, employee activities, and customer communication while maintaining compliance with company and customer requirements. This position will work directly with Top Management of Indus LLC. Key Responsibilities Inbound Logistics Process and enter incoming customer orders accurately and efficiently. Coordinate inbound shipments with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments. Monitor inbound freight schedules and resolve delivery issues as needed. Verify shipping documentation and ensure inventory accuracy upon receipt. Maintain records of inbound shipments and order status updates. Outbound Logistics Process customer orders and prepare shipments according to customer requirements. Schedule and coordinate transportation with LTL, FTL, parcel, and expedited carriers. Book truck shipments and negotiate freight arrangements when applicable. Generate and manage Bills of Lading (BOLs), packing lists, shipping labels, and related documentation. Manage UPS, FedEx, and other parcel carrier shipments, including mass shipment processing. Ensure on-time delivery performance and resolve shipping discrepancies. Customer Service & Communication Provide shipment status updates and proactive communication to customers. Send tracking information and shipping confirmations to customers. Respond to customer inquiries regarding orders, deliveries, and logistics concerns. Work closely with customers to resolve transportation and delivery issues. Maintain strong relationships with customers, carriers, and suppliers. Team Leadership & Employee Management Supervise and coordinate daily activities of warehouse and logistics personnel. Assign work priorities and ensure timely completion of logistics tasks. Train employees on shipping procedures, documentation requirements, and company policies. Monitor employee performance and support continuous improvement initiatives. Assist with scheduling, attendance tracking, and workflow management. Reporting & Compliance Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and transportation records. Monitor freight costs and identify opportunities for cost savings. Ensure compliance with customer requirements, transportation regulations, and company procedures. Generate logistics reports and key performance metrics as required. Support inventory control and audit activities. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred. 3+ years of logistics, transportation, shipping, or supply chain experience preferred. Experience with carrier scheduling, BOL creation, and parcel shipping systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and ERP systems. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Experience supervising employees preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Preferred Experience UPS WorldShip or similar parcel shipping software. LTL and truckload carrier management. Automotive, manufacturing, or distribution industry experience. Inventory management and warehouse operations. ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Epicor, or similar. Experience dealing with customers like Amazon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) On-time shipment performance Order processing accuracy Customer satisfaction Freight cost management Inventory accuracy Shipping documentation accuracy Employee productivity and performance What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience (
