INTRODUCTION TO AM GENERAL AM

Collaborate cross functionally with other departments when risks arise to best serve our customers' needs. Resolves issues and escalate when necessary to team leader or reporting manager Communicate with suppliers via phone call to ensure we are getting timely updates or mitigate delayed deliveries Run and action daily reports to place material on order, run material shortages, track material arrival to our warehouse, and work collaboratively to escalate SAP issues or resolve on your own with documentation provided Work to resolve material delays with suppliers before escalating to reporting leadership. Participate in weekly open sales order reviews to ensure material arrival meets our customers' requirements Release new material requirements to suppliers daily or weekly as needed Send weekly open order reports to vendors that have been assigned to your planner deck and notate supplier responses in SAP Manage all issues/tasks required to support their supplier deck and customer sales orders; additional suppliers or parts can be added to your deck as required Update SAP notes daily with detailed notes Manage vendor related dock issues to ensure that timely resolution is completed so material can be received in; physically walking to the dock will be required to resolve Prioritize daily responsibilities and manager direction when given Initiate supplier meetings when required Review excess stock levels internally at each plant when deciding how to order material Release reqs daily to signal supply chain to place material on PO with supplierKNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS A
bachelor's degree is preferred but not required 1-3 years of related logistics, planning or manufacturing experience required Basic proficiency with production planning systems preferred SAP experience preferred Seeking individuals with a strong sense of urgency, initiative, attention to detail, and organizational skills Basic understanding of Microsoft Office, including excel, outlook, and teams Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong multitasking and problem-solving skills Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written to internal and/or external correspondentsPHYSICAL EFFORT

Physical Location:
This position operates between an office and manufacturing plant environment and is often assigned to a specific shift or hours. The Employee must be able to perform job functions in an environment with varying difficult work conditions such as extreme cold, heat, inclement weather, at heights, and/or while exposed to constant/intermittent loud noisesTeamwork:
This position will work with others to ensure efficiency in the workplaceListening Skills:
This position will need to understand how to use machinery properly and safely to prevent accidents and ensure all tasks are completed accurately Ability to follow instructions: Managers assign tasks and responsibilities, which vary; this position should be able to follow instructions competently Methodical approach: Production lines follow a set process, so this position needs a methodical approach to ensure all tasks are completed in the correct order for a smooth-running production lineConcentration:
This position may perform the same or similar tasks repeatedly, so a strong level of concentration when carrying out these tasks is important for quality control purposes. This role is often fast paced, so being able to maintain focus at all times is importantTRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
