Job Description

ABOUT STAIRTEK
: Stairtek is a major manufacturer and distributor of prefinished and unfinished hardwood stair parts, as well as a leading line of laminate stair parts. Located in the Northern Kentucky / Greater Cincinnati Tri State area.
POSITION SUMMARY
: The Warehouse and Logistics Specialist is responsible for the accurate receipt, storage, movement, and shipment of materials to ensure efficient operations and on-time delivery. This role maintains inventory accuracy, coordinates inbound and outbound logistics, and ensures compliance with safety and quality standards while supporting overall workflow efficiency.

Whatever It Takes, High Standards, Open to Change, Think Like a Customer Collaborates with cross-functional teams to improve supply chain KPIs such as on-hold inventory, substitutions, slow-moving items, and inventory weeks on hand Manages coordination of all outgoing shipments, including direct shipments from Stairtek, vendor-direct shipments to customers, and local customer pickups Assists Supply Chain Specialist by performing inventory cycle counts as needed to maintain inventory accuracy >98% Assists with general warehouse duties as needed, including performing system transactions such as returning materials to on-hand inventory Serves as a forklift operator and forklift safety trainer Assists with and coordinates logistical processes for bulk order distribution, including labeling, palletizing, truck loading strategies, and shipping from ready-to-ship through delivery Performs ordering and management of plant consumables and assists in supply chain planning and material fulfillment Supports production initiatives across departments to ensure timely shipment of products Assists with scheduling trucks for deliveries and outgoing shipments Utilizes and manages internal and external software programs related to shipping and logistics platforms Oversees incoming materials and ensures proper labeling, inspection, and receipt into inventory systems coordinates and orders miscellaneous supplies and consumables Performs other duties as assigned
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required Minimum of one (1) year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities of the role Working knowledge of program management, materials management, contracting, scheduling, transportation, and manufacturing preferred Experience with an MRP system for managing material receipt and distribution required Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) Willingness to learn and grow within the organization Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment ability to identify problems and implement effective solutions Ability to collaborate with coworkers to exchange information and coordinate work Experience with
SAGE 100
preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS
Must be able to move throughout all areas of the plant(s) as required to perform duties Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
