Job Description:
I am currently supporting a leading carbon black manufacturer in the USA on a search for a Production Planning Leader, NA. The position will be based in Fort Worth, Texas, or Baton Rouge, Louisiana. We are looking for someone with strong experience in scheduling, supply chain, and inventory coordination. This role serves as the pivotal point of contact to balance customer demand, plant capabilities, and operational constraints to ensure a realistic, achievable, and efficient production schedule
Key Responsibilities:
Master Production Planning:
Own the rolling daily, weekly, and monthly master production schedules across all reactor lines and product families to maximise fleet throughput.
Cross-Functional Governance:
Lead the daily S&OE huddles and weekly alignment meetings with the VP of Supply Chain, VP of Sales, and Plant Managers to balance customer demand against true mechanical capacity and reliability constraints. D365
System Ownership:
Act as the internal power user and master data owner within Microsoft Dynamics 365, managing production orders, MRP loops, routings, and BOMs to drive planning excellence.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain roles specifically within chemical, petrochemical, or carbon black manufacturing. Deep technical understanding of continuous or batch processing systems, reactor/furnace operations, changeover matrix constraints, and asset reliability. Advanced proficiency as a power user of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) modules for capacity planning and inventory management.
