Previous experience in logistics, freight brokerage, transportation coordination, or carrier sales preferred Strong negotiation, communication, and customer service skills Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office, data entry systems, and transportation software Self-motivated, career-driven, and passionate about logistics and supply chain operations Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across teams and departments
Key Responsibilities:
Negotiate rates with carriers to maximize profitability while improving transportation efficiency and cost savings Schedule and coordinate truck shipments, proactively resolving transit and delivery issues Dispatch drivers and ensure timely pickups and on-time freight movement Audit freight invoices, Bills of Lading (BOLs), and carrier documentation for accuracy and payment processing Build and manage a strong carrier network through daily sourcing, onboarding, and relationship development Conduct high-volume outbound communication (60-80 calls daily) to develop carrier partnerships and secure capacity Maintain accurate carrier pricing, lane history, and contact information within transportation management systems (TMS) Utilize logistics software and TMS platforms to support capacity planning, load tracking, and operational workflow optimization Stay current on freight market trends, carrier pricing, and transportation industry changes Why This Role?
