- Full-time Solid Transportation is a family-owned intermodal trucking company operating in the Northeast for over 10 years.
We are looking to hire a new Intermodal Expeditor / Appointment Coordinator to represent our company in a professional manner with customers, vendors, brokers, terminals, steamship lines, and drivers. This position will require working closely with our dispatch staff to schedule pickup and delivery appointments, answer customer emails, update load information, and help ensure service and delivery goals are achieved within the required time frame. We are looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work in a fast-paced trucking office. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to multitask while keeping accurate records and updates.
Responsibilities:
Call customers to schedule pickup and delivery appointments. Answer customer emails in a professional and timely manner. Coordinate appointment times with customers, dispatch, and drivers. Provide customers with load status updates, ETAs, delays, and appointment information. Assist dispatch staff with scheduling pickups, deliveries, prepulls, drops, and empty returns. Track appointment times, delivery windows, container status, and customer requirements. Communicate with customers, brokers, vendors, terminals, steamship lines, and drivers as needed. Assist with data entry, document preparation, paperwork, and other administrative tasks as needed. Make sure appointment details, driver notes, and customer information are entered accurately. Help keep the office organized and running efficiently.
Ideal Candidate:
Scheduling, logistics, trucking, dispatch, customer service, or office experience is preferred. Intermodal trucking experience is a plus, but not required. Must be comfortable calling customers and sending professional emails. Must be organized and detail-oriented. Must be able to multitask in a busy office environment. Must have strong phone and email communication skills. Must be dependable and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Basic computer skills are required.

$55,000
- $65,000 per year, based on experience.
Higher pay may be considered for candidates with trucking, logistics, intermodal, scheduling, or dispatch experience.

Paid vacation, earned sick time in accordance with state law, and 401(k) retirement plan. Employees become eligible for 1 week of paid vacation after 6 months of employment, increasing to 2 weeks after 2 years of employment. Company 401(k) match is subject to plan eligibility and vesting requirements.
