This role requires a strong grasp of inventory systems, shipping protocols, and the ability to troubleshoot issues independently. Specialist II plays a key role in optimizing shipping workflows, supporting cross-functional teams, and managing sensitive or regulated materials.

PM Job Description Key Responsibilities:
Perform all duties outlined in the Shipping & Receiving Specialist I role. Lead daily shipping and receiving operations in the absence of a supervisor. Ensure timely handling of perishable and time-sensitive shipments. Follow protocols for handling materials including documentation and regulatory compliance. Conduct follow-ups with recipients and senders as needed. Train and mentor new or junior team members. Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to resolve shipping discrepancies. Ensure compliance with domestic and international shipping regulations (e.g., IATA, DOT). Maintain and audit inventory records and shipping logs for accuracy. Assist in developing and refining SOPs for shipping and receiving processes. Operate forklifts or other warehouse equipment as needed (certification preferred). Support logistics planning for large-scale or high-priority shipments. Provide input on supply chain improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required. 3-5 years of relevant experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in CMMS, Microsoft Office Suite, and FedEx/UPS systems. Ability to lift 50+ pounds and push up to 100 pounds. Forklift certification preferred.
