Burlington Position Summary:
The Shipping & Receiving Technician is responsible for processing all inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, timely processing, and safe handling of materials. This role maintains inventory accuracy, communicates with carriers and internal teams, and supports operations to keep product flow efficient and compliant with company standards and external regulations. We are seeking candidates that want to grow their career! Hours:
9:30 am - 6:00 pm.
Key Responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Process all inbound and outbound freight shipments. Inspect, verify, and document incoming materials. Secure large shipments on skids, pallets, or crates. Process shipments using UPS and FEDEX systems. Prepare packing lists, labels, and shipping documentation. Operate powered industrial lift trucks (formal qualification is required). Assist carriers in loading their trucks. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Train to become qualified to ship radioactive material. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Job Requirements High School Diploma or GED. Technical training or aptitude. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work both independently and in a group environment. Reliable Transportation. Ability to pass an internal exam on radiation principles within 90 days of hire. Ability to adhere to
ISO 9001
guidelines and standard operating procedures. Must pass an internal radiation safety exam within the first 6 months of employment. Mentoring for the short exam is provided. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk continuously. Ability to bend, squat, twist, kneel, crouch, and reach. Ability to grasp, lift, and carry objects up to 85 pounds. Ability to use computers and telephones and standard equipment. Ability to see clearly at close and long distances, with peripheral vision, and depth perception. This role does not offer sponsorship for work authorization. External applicants must be eligible to work in the US.
